INTERVIEWS

Anna Silk: home cook, food lover and proud Canadian.

OK, I'll say it. I fell in love with Anna Silk. This Fredericton-born star of Lost Girl - which begins season 2 this Sunday September 4th at 9pm on Showcase - takes being a role model to young women very seriously, plus she's a huge foodie (her grandfather was a chef), and one of the most well-read vegans I've spoken to. "Oh, I'm not perfect," she laughed multiple times over the interview. Really?
Our quick Q&A is below, plus Anna shares her favourite recipe - "Grandma Pembe's Fasolia recipe" (which she's preparing in the image above).

On the Town with the stars of Lost Girl

It’s a Saturday afternoon at Grace restaurant on College Street, and actresses Anna Silk and Ksenia Solo are taking a rare and much-appreciated break from their day jobs.

“It was in the bathroom of my screen test,” Solo says, her jet-black bangs nearly obscuring startlingly light-blue eyes. She’s talking about the first time the two fast-friends met: “It was instant love.” Tucked into a booth next to her in a low-cut black dress, Silk smiles. “Looking at her under those fluorescent lights, I just knew.”
